Unique Visions
I feel passionately the importance of each and every one of us accessing our unique visions and manifesting them in some form. All those wonderful images dancing around in your creative minds are waiting to be born. It is my hope that the ideas, inspiration, techniques and journey that I share in this blog will be influential in many dazzling art quilts or works of art being created. The journey from quilter to quilt artist is one many of you are on or are going to begin. I plan to share with you many challenging possibilities, resources, and pathways of creative expression. Now go make some art the way you want it to be. You are unique in all the world listen to your inner voice.
What ignites my fire?
One of my inspirations or muses is nature. This cactus a student shared with me when I was teaching at Empty Spools, so ignites my create impulse I could not wait to get home and start building my version of the cactus.
Expressing The Creative Fire 
I had the pleasure of seeing this quilt at the NQA Columbus quilt show last May. The thread work was especially beautiful and added a ruffled dimension not easily discerned in your photo.
Can you speak to composing these types of images together as you did in Just Breath? I can see how the cactus might be part of a larger composition but how do you go about achieving that; not only in the objects you select but also color choices?
